    This is a vintage Japanese lacquered wooden 'Jikiro style' container case, for sweets (It's called "Kashiki" in Japanese), which was made about 50 years ago.
    This is made of natural wood coated with lacquer. The frame is made of alloyed-copper.
    This is used in the time of tea ceremony to serve tea cakes or sweets.
    Cranes are painted on the lid.
