Universal Load Bearing Backpack System
The Wilcox Universal Load Bearing Backpack System is a selectably encapsulating pack system designed to protect the PATRIOT® from damage and debris, and to customize weight distribution. Traditional packs provide shoulder and waist adjustments that allow some flexibility in configuration, but do not distribute weight on the hips for comfort. When loaded with bulk, traditional packs become cumbersome and restrict operator movement.
An S-shaped shoulder harness conforms to the shape of the next to prevent restriction of movement while a horizontal adjustment conforms the pack to the height of the shoulder and positions weight on the lumbar and hips for comfort during extended wear.
Life Support System/ Breaching/Assault System
The Life Support System that allows an individual to operate in containment levels (masked up) for an unprecedented eight hours before performing service. The system delivers blower or non-blower assisted filtered air (PAPR Mode) or open circuit breathing gas (SCBA Mode) in this one integrated system.
