    Description

US Civil War Era Childs Epaulettes. Both are matching and solid with some staining from wear. The silver bullion braiding-fringe is mostly tight and in good condition, the top edges appear the worst and where they would have attached to a uniform. Brass star on each. Green undersides show the most wear with some holes. There are no maker marks. Rare and unusual set! These will display nicely!
    Each measures 3 7/8" x 3 1/8".
A long time ago I was told these were West Point Epaulettes but I could not find anything to confirm that. These date to somewhere between 1830 to 1865.
