Crystalline gold from Georgetown is quite difficult to get and when there are specimens available collectors quickly acquire them. This crystalline specimen was discovered by a prospector who was metal detecting near a quartz vane. The crystalline specimen is very lustrous and has complex crystalline growth with many flat mirror-like crystal faces which also have smaller gold crystals growing on top. Its beautiful shape and luster make this specimen a very nice display specimen for the mineral collector.
