    Description

    Since the release of the new book by Richard Coleman with nice pictures and prices, it is now a lot easier to price these elusive copper coins that saw extensive circulation in the early United States and were legal until at least 1858. He priced the coins using auction records, fixed price lists and of course his extensive knowledge of the series.  These coins are mentioned in the Red Book although there is not enough room to list them there.
    Offered here is a quite scarce to rare evasion halfpenny. Very little wear and about as made. I call it EF and quite rare as such, and remember evasive coins were make to look worn to further their acceptance in commerce. Listed by Coleman as his CH 1775B-20 my coin is at leas as nice as his plate coin and he got the finest he could for his book. Priced well below catalog, and I will consider offers. Color is exceptional as well.
