In 1972, Mercedes Benz introduced
its W116 Series of cars with streamlined styling, quantum leaps in engineering, and a slew of innovative safety features like a fuel tank mounted above the rear axle, a heavily padded dashboard, and safety passenger cell made using a stiff roof-frame design.
1980 was the last year of manufacture for the type W116 cars and this brochure presents these cars.
The factory brochure here is a glovebox sized booklet offered to buyers of these fine cars at its dealer showrooms.
The brochure provides a side profile picture of every model offered with description of its distinguishing features in the next page below it.
The brochure
includes the models: 240D, 280E, 280CE, 300D, 300TD, 280SE, 300SD, 450SEL, 450SL and 450SLC.
The brochure is a collectible literature, if one happens to own one of these fine cars or just a fan of all things Mercedes.
The W116 and the W126 cars were, in the opinion of many Mercedes Benz lovers, possibly the best looking cars that Mercedes Benz has put out over the years.
DISCLOSURE
The 1980 Mercedes Benz sales brochure offered is a 51/2 X 9 staple bound,
24-page
(including covers) glovebox booklet.  It is printed on coated paper and is in very good condition.
All the body, chassis and compartment specifications are provided in the
separate card insert included with the booklet.
There is no discernable yellowing of pages, no signs of poor handling, no bent corners, no stains or writings.
